OVA RETURN TO PLAY

Ontario Volleyball has provided Return to Play protocols that clubs must abide by. For the most recent versions of these protocols please the the OVA website at https://www.ontariovolleyball.org/ova-return-to-play.

As a club, we are committed to providing a safe environment, in all aspects, for our athletes. We realize the profound impact and effect that COVID-19 has on our daily lives –  mentally, emotionally and physically. While we are all excited to get back to training, we will begin training for athletes once we are confident that we can abide by the OVA protocols. Please note that all training may cease if we receive further direction from the OVA, region and/or province.

Our Club Risk Assessment and Mitigation Checklist was submitted to the OVA and approved.

Below you will find some select OVA forms and booklets. This is not the exhaustive list of forms.

*Note:  The documents below may not be the current version. We make every attempt to update our website in a timely manner but such is life and we get busy too. To view the most updated documents please visit https://www.ontariovolleyball.org/ova-return-to-play

The Ontario Volleyball Return to Play page is designed to guide OVA Clubs and members through the COVID-19 pandemic. Through these documents and resources, Clubs will be prepared to return to volleyball safely when completing their RTP protocols.

Ontario Volleyball will continue to work with Volleyball Canada and the Government of Ontario, monitoring the most recent developments surrounding COVID-19 pandemic as it impacts Return to Play protocols.

Expand/click their page links for access to information and resources related to Return to Play.

As part of the on-boarding process in MRS, you will be required to sign an OVA waiver.

In addition, the club has it’s own COVID-19 Waiver. A link will be sent to all athletes.

A covid declaration (with health screening) is required to enter the Sportsplex (our practice facility). You will need to show proof of a “PASS” status to gain entry into the facility.

If you are not feeling well, please inform your coach and do not attend practice.

All athletes/coaches will be screened prior to each participation in club activities.

The expectation is that a tracking sheet must exist for each on-court session to facilitate contact tracing in the event of a COVID-19 exposure.
